Presidents
Message:
Boy is it difficult to find
something to talk about in the middle of winter. It seems like
forever since we've had a social event although it's only been just
over a month since the
Christmas party.
Tom tells me our event has been
moved to early May because of schedule conflicts with Hallett but
everything seems to be under control. He and Dale have a grip on it.
For those interested or know
someone who may be, Fridays driving school to obtain a high speed
license has been approved by the powers that be so try to bring in
some novices to get some track time and possibly a high speed
license.
I realize there was snow on the
ground and it was cold outside last month but lets try to make
meeting this coming month, it takes more than six people to run this
club. If you don't participate, don't complain!!
Jim

FROM
THE GOVENORS CORNER
SW Region Schedule for
March 2010
The next event on the
schedule is the awards banquet hosted by OKC on March 6th.
Deadline for registration is Feb 15th. Flyer can be found
on the SW Region website.
Next is the Test and Tune
at Mineral wells on 3-14
Hitchcock Texas, 14 Low
speeds on 3-19 thru 3-21
FYI, Our SSCC event,
Oklahoma Thunder is kind of up in the air at the moment due to a
conflict with Hallett and may be rescheduled and the events
reshuffled as well. Stay tuned for more details as they become
available.
Anyone who has not
checked out the NCCC website in awhile needs to go there and look
around, especially under the things new listing. There is a
ton of info, new 2010 rulebook, info on the 2010 convention, and on
and on.
Also, if anyone has old
issues of Blue Bars dating back a ways, please save them and give
them to me. I tossed all mine out and now find that the NCCC
Webmaster is trying to find all the back issues and scan them and
post them on the website. They are planning on coming to our event
and will take whatever we can find.
Enjoy this fine late Jan
weather and remember the meeting the first Wednesday night of
February in case you care to vote on anything going on.
Tom
